Wine production in the Alentejo region is an art with centuries of history, whose roots go back to the times of the Romans and Phoenicians. One of the greatest symbols of this heritage is winemaking in clay amphorae and vats, an ancestral technique that continues to give rise to wines with a unique and profoundly authentic profile.

To guarantee the quality and identity of each wine, the CVRA (Alentejo Regional Wine Commission) , founded in 1989, plays a central role in the certification, regulation, and control of wines produced in the region.
